Differences between builds
What are the differences between the different Windows builds? I'm guessing the Mingw32 is for a 32 bit operating system - what about MSVC? Do they have different features or different installs? Why put out two different builds?
- The main difference is that Mingw32 version were build by mingw32, and MSVC were build by Microsoft Visual C++. Now there is no maintainer of Mingw32-builds, so the last Mingw32-build of development version is outdated. As for me, Mingw32-build is better for many reasons. But noragen is interested in MSVC-builds for some reason, so we have two differend builds for Windows :-/
